Know your own projects deeply
Most technical questions start with something on your CV. Be ready to draw the part, explain the process and say exactly what you decided.
Design roles
Expect a tool test in SolidWorks, Creo or AutoCAD, questions on GD&T and tolerance stack-up, and a discussion of material selection. Bring sample drawings with client details removed.
Quality roles
Prepare 8D and why-why examples from real complaints, the 7 QC tools, SPC basics and the core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) if you are in auto.
Production roles
Talk through how you run a shift, how you track OEE and how you handled a breakdown or a manpower shortage. Numbers from your own line make answers credible.
Questions to ask
Ask about the product mix, shift pattern, team size and what success looks like in the first six months. It shows you are serious about the role.
